Cancellation & refunds
Last updated 16 October 2026
The short version
If Sonen is not for you, email hello@sonen.co.uk within 14 days of paying and you will get your money back. No reason needed, no argument. If you joined through Onelink, you can also ask Onelink support and they will refund you on our behalf.
Your legal right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from the start of your membership to cancel and receive a refund.
Because Sonen begins working the moment you subscribe, you agree to the service starting immediately. Strictly, that would let us deduct for the part you used. We do not do that. Within 14 days you get the whole amount back.
After 14 days
Cancel at any time and your membership runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. It will not renew after that.
A founding membership is a single payment, so there is nothing to cancel. Within 14 days of paying you can have the whole amount back, as above, and your membership ends when the refund is made.
Annual memberships are not refunded pro-rata after 14 days as a rule, but if something has gone wrong — the service did not work, you were charged twice, you meant to cancel and forgot — email us. Refusing a fair request over a few pounds is not how we want to run this.
How to cancel
- Sign in and press Manage membership, which opens Stripe’s billing portal. It takes about ten seconds.
- Or manage it at link.com — Onelink, Stripe’s merchant of record service, sells memberships on our behalf and can also cancel or refund them.
- Or email hello@sonen.co.uk and we will do it for you.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 working days depending on your bank. We do not issue credit or vouchers instead.
